The painting Luncheon of the Boating Party by Pierre Auguste Renoir is about casual mingling. There are many shades of each color used. There are fourteen people total, and one of the women is holding a small dog on her lap. The people are gathered around a patio/deck. On each table there is silverware, wine bottles, glasses, and crumbs. People are mingling, some on the railing, others walking around, or sitting at tables on chairs. There is a covered awning over their heads. All the people look nicely and cleanly dressed. The people in the back of the room are nicer dressed than the people painted closer up. People, men and women, are wearing hats, mostly casual hats but one man wears a formal top hat. Your eye is drawn to the right side of the painting. Some colors look brighter or lighter than others. The people look young, healthy, and friendly. There may even be some flirting going on. There is use of perception, some people are painted detailed and up close, whereas others are painted slightly blurry and in the distance. There is water with sailboats in the distance of the painting. The painting is busy and detailed, but there is no clashing, the busyness works. The painting is about young people creating relationships while on the water.

In this piece of artwork, people are having their lunch, on a porch. A lady near the railing is kissing her dog; another man and woman are leaning on that railing. Three people across the table are having a conversation. People by the trees farther away from the three people talking, appear to be having another conversation. The strokes of paint are short and blended, and the colors are bright and realistic.

In Luncheon of the Boating Party, I see many glasses, and three wine glasses. I see a family or group of friends enjoying a pleasant night on a boat. There is who appears to be a helmsman leaning on the rail. There also appears to be a waiter, and little food left on people’s plates, implying that the actual meal has ended. It seems as though all aboard are drinking, and they are close to shore. The dress of the people on the boat leads me to believe that this painting was done around 200 years ago. This is a very realistic looking painting as far as the up close (forefront, such as the people, etc. go), but not in the background. This shows two different styles of painting in the same painting. Most of the colors in the painting are very colorful, creating a cheerful mood.

Sorry I had to use my aol account, it wouldnt let me create a blogger one, I have no idea why.

The Luncheon at the Boating Party: This picture mainly consists of warm colors. It appears to take place at a resteraunt or an outdoor party setting. The women and all but one man are wearing fancy hats. One woman in the front is playing with a small dog. The colors give it a happy tone. The textures in the backround create the illusion of water and sky. All appear to be interacting, yet none make direct eye contact. The women are all dressed in a similar fashion.

In the painting, I noticed the clothing people were wearing. A top hat and grand hats for dinner and lunch parties were only common about a century ago. That means this painting is not recent. Men and women on a boat are at what seems to be a luncheon. Everyone seems quite content and confident. Wine is served on tables with gorgeous greenish, ivory table clothe. Silver ware and glass vases line give the table a grand design. All of the adults seem middle aged and acquainted. The colors used are bright and vibrant. In my opinion, the color showed the mood of the artist and in this case the artist is happy and brave. In as many words as possible, there is not a way to describe the full detail of this elaborate painting.

The painting, Luncheon of the Boating Party, is about a group of young adults talking and relaxing on what looks like a harbor outside, next to a forest and lake with boats in it. There are tables, and they have white coverings on them with wine bottles and silverware. Some people are dressed casually, while others are fancier. There is a variety of colors in this painting. The colors seem to be blended into one another. In the harbor, over the people's head's there is an awning. Some people are sitting and others are standing. There are chairs surrounding the tables. There are people far away in the picture and people closer up. The group consists of men and women. It is a group of about fifteen people. There is a railing on the left side of the painting, with a women leaning on it. Many of the people are wearing hats, some tall black ones, and others yellow decorated ones. A lady, sitting in a chair at the table is holding a small black dog. All of the people seem happy and enjoying what looks like the afternoon.

The painting Luncheon of the boating party has many different things happening. One of the things that are going on is the girl in the bottom left is playing with a dog. In the top right corner two men are talking to a girl . Also there are many people eating an assortment of foods and drinking wine. Also all the people on the boat look like they are enjoying their selves and having a good time. In the painting their is no clashing and all bright
